The aim of the I4TP research project was to develop a software-supported, model-based, Sino-German factory automation platform for the quick and easy design and commissioning of turnkey production systems with integrated product consulting and the creation of customized business models. Through I4TP, a platform with German and Chinese partners was created on which turnkey production systems can be offered for the Chinese market. In addition, a compliance program with a test environment was developed for this platform, in which components and associated models for the construction of turnkey production systems can be qualified. The platform thus represents the basis for an industry standard for turnkey production systems supported by the consortium and other partners.
