Manufacturing Workshops
We tailor different training modes to the needs of customers and deliver on-site workshops focusing on existing challenges in your production. Here, we focus half a day on acquiring the necessary theory, and the second half on applying the acquired knowledge together with your team at your site for direct improvements. The on-site workshop courses are customized according to your individual requirements. Training participants are usually production managers, production supervisors, IE engineers, and quality engineers.

Overview of Manufacturing Workshops:
Lean Production
Objectives and Content
Lean Production is embedded in corporate fundamental principles. It is a systematical operational solution emerged from continuously refined and developed production laws. It will maintain vitality and competitiveness for the company, thus help to realize sustainable business. In the practice of Lean Production, one-sided or incorrect understanding will often lead to bad execution or low performance, even it could damage the fundamental of the company. In this course, participants will be inspired above scientific Lean Production theory by the right mind setting and practice orientation, to really achieve corporate lean transformation as well as self-development and breakthrough.

5S Principle and Visual Management
Objectives and Content
Shop floor management contains several topics. Visualization plays important role to organize workplace. Seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke (5S) focuses on effective workplace organization and standardized work procedures. It simplifies the work environment, reduces waste and non-value activity while improving quality efficiency and safety. Moreover, visualization also applies a variety of visual perception of images and colors to organize on-site production activities to improve labor productivity.

Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
Objectives and Content
Value steam mapping is the simple process of observing the flows of information and materials as they occur currently, summarizing them visually, and then envisioning a future state with improved performance. It is a basic tool of lean production to analyze the current state and design a future state with lean principles. The workshop introduces the method of value-stream mapping and shows the use on an example. In the second part of the workshop the participants analyze a certain part of their company and draw a value-stream map on-site by themselves. We jointly use VSM to derive operational needs in your company. The results are used to systematically start the digitalization in your company.

Single Minute Exchange of Die(SMED)
Objectives and Content
SMED is one of the lean production methods for reducing waste in a manufacturing process. It provides a rapid and efficient way of converting a manufacturing process from running the current product to running the next product. This rapid changeover is the key to reducing production lot sizes and thereby improving the flexibility. As a result, SMED is widely considered and used by manufacturers providing products with multiple species and small batch.

Systematic Approach to Failure Prevention – Poka Yoke
Objectives and Content
Poka-Yoke is a technique for avoiding and detecting errors in the production process. It is one of the key factors of the Toyota Production System, invented by Dr. Shigeo Shingo. Poka-Yoke is based on the perception that no human can completely prevent unintended errors. Thus Poka-Yoke devices are implemented for error anticipation and detection as well as error treatment. In this way Poka-Yoke helps manufacturers to improve their production quality, increase their efficiency and reduce product costs.

Preventive Quality Assurance - Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
Objectives and Content
FMEA is an analytical method of preventive quality assurance. The objective is to identify and evaluate risks in time, and to initiate or propose suitable actions for risk minimization. In FMEA, failures are prioritized according to how serious their consequences are, how frequently they occur and how easily they can be detected. As an important method in quality work, it is widely used in manufacturing industries in various phases of product life cycle.

Six Sigma Green Belt
Objectives and Content
Six Sigma Green Belt will directly cooperate with the multi-functional project leader- Black Belt and is very important part to the project success. This training workshop will train you to be able to use Six-Sigma logics and tools to solve problem in a systematic way. Via DMAIC you can identify and remove the causes of defects and minimize variability in manufacturing and business processes. This results in improved quality and satisfied customers.

Lean and Smart Internal Logistics Management
Objectives and Content
Optimal internal logistic processes are critical for an efficient production process: The right material needs to be at the right place in the right quantities at the right time. Guiding principles originating from lean production, such as Kanban systems and milk-run, are introduced in this course. Additionally, the transfer of these principles into the digital factory is discussed. The training contents are supported by hands-on application scenarios in our Innovation Center.
